June 11, 1923 - joins the Aviation Regiment (then called the Aviacijas Divizions).
1926 - graduates from flight school.
1929 - promoted to rank of Staff Sargeant.
May 25, 1930 - participates in the Aviation Festival at Riga/Spilve.
May 31, 1931 - Participates in the Aviation Festival at Riga/Spilve.
1931 - as a member of the 2nd Fighter Squadron he (and Lt.Strautnieks) are assigned responsibility for parachute
training for their squadron.
1931 - is checked out and approved to fly the Fiat CR.1
June 5, 1932 - participates in the Aviation Festival at Riga/Spilve.
May 28, 1933 - participates in the Aviation Festival at Riga/Spilve.
Sept.9, 1934 - participates in the Aviation Festival at Riga/Spilve.
September 8, 1935 - participates in the Aviation Festival at Riga/Spilve.
1937 - a member of the 1st Fighter Squadron flying the new Gloster Gladiators.
July 24, 1938 - participates in the Aviation Festival at Skrunda.
August 21, 1938 - participates in the Aviation Festival at Riga/Spilve.
September 4, 1938 - participates in the Aviation Festival at Smiltene.
October, 1938 - still appears on the roster of the 1st Fighter Squadron
Oct 1 - 2, 1938 - participates in the third "Flight Around Latvia" contest, flying "Kaija" with passenger/observer Ellins.
January 13, 1939 - serves as a flight instructor in the Riga division of the Latvian Aero Club's final final flight school
class. The class was described as training "Sport Fliers" but most of the graduates went on to fly for the Luftwaffe
during the war.
July 9, 1939 - participates in the Aviation Festival at Kuldiga.
September 17, 1939 - participates in the Aviation Festival at Ape.
