CAKANOVSKIS, OTO (aka AUSTRUMS, OTO)
- 1926 - Graduates from officer training program.
- July 26, 1930 - graduates from flight school. Rank: 1st Lieutenant
- May 28, 1933 - participates in the Aviation Festival at Riga/Spilve.
- Sept.9, 1934 - participates in the Aviation Festival at Riga/Spilve.
- 1935 - an active member of the Latvian Aero Club, he is responsible for administering the Aviation Scout program.
- 1939 - on the roster of the 3rd Fighter Squadron, based in Riga.
- 1940 (Soviet Occupation) - required to serve with the "Gulbene Squadron", a latvian aviation unit within the Soviet 24th Territorial Corps.
- June, 1941 (Soviet Occupation) - arrested and deported to Norilsk, Siberia.
- June 1942 - Murdered by the Soviets at the Norilsk labour camp.
