1919, January 5 - Volunteers for the Latvian army, in the Jelgava Volunteer Company.
After the retreat to Liepaja, he is transferred to the Kalpaka battalion, cavalry.
Promoted to the rank of Corporal.
1919, June 21 - distinguished himself in a particularly dangerous
reconnaissance of the German-held territories (Noted in his Lacplesis Order citation)
1921 - Awarded the Order of Lacplesis For his service in the war of liberation he is awarded a homestead (named "Atvari")
in the county of Jaunsati, Tukums region.
1924 - Graduated from the Military College, cavalry division
1924 - promoted to Lieutenant.
1930, July 25 - Graduates from flight school (observer)
May 28, 1933 - Participates in the Aviation Festival at Riga/Spilve.
1933 - promoted to Captain-Lieutenant.
1934, Sept.9 - Participates in the Aviation Festival at Riga/Spilve.
Promoted to the rank of Captain.
1935, March 2 - named assistant to the Aizsargi Commander.
September 8, 1935 - Participates in the Aviation Festival at Riga/Spilve.
July 7, 1936 - Participates in the Aviation Festival at Riga/Spilve.
July 12, 1936 - Participates in the Aviation Festival at Kuldiga.
August 9, 1936 - Participates in the Aviation Festival at Ventspils.
August 16, 1936 - Participates in the Aviation Festival at Bauska.
September 6, 1936 - Participates in the Aviation Festival at Ikskile.
July 10, 1938 - participates in the Aviation Festival at Kuldiga.
1939 - Aizsargi HQ officer in charge of communications.
1942 (German occupation) Wounded while serving in the German military
as commander of the 2nd Company, 266th battalion.
Evacuated to Germany. Spouse: Anna (nee Dzenis), two daughters Mara and Inara.
Died: September 4, 1946 in Ergalen, Germany
