Serial no. 4237/18 - among the aircraft abandoned at Spilve when the
Germans retreated.
A commission examined these aircraft and determined their airworthiness
or suitability for repair. #4237 was a fuselage without wings, undercarriage
without tyres. The cockpit was ruined. The decision was that this aircraft
could be made serviceable only with the greatest of repair.
January 24, 1921 - After major overhaul and repair, #4237 is placed
on active service.
February-March, 1923 - Flown by Skaubitis and Ritenbergs, participates in the tactical flight exercise
in Latgale.
August 21, 1923 - damaged in a ground collision with Fokker D.VII #4.
1924 - continues to appear on the roster of the reconaissance squadron.
June 15, 1924 - participates in the Aviation Festival at Spilve.
1925 - no longer appears on the active roster of aircraft.

This Halberstadt, built in the military aviation workshops 'Arsenals, (project
begun in 1925 and completed in 1927) was a copy of #19.
1927 - the first flight of #22 (Karlis Skaubitis)
